Service Agreements
Built Around Your Plant

Unplanned refrigeration downtime costs far more than the repair that ends it. A service agreement puts the inspections, the wear items and the compliance work on a schedule that fits your production calendar — and puts your site at the front of the queue when something does go wrong.

Custom Maintenance Programmes

Scheduled Work Beats
Unscheduled Downtime

Every agreement starts with a site visit rather than a price list. We survey the plant, read the maintenance history and the failure record, ask what your production calendar actually allows, and build the schedule around it. A seafood plant with a hard summer season and a distribution centre running level all year do not need the same programme, and neither should be sold one.

  • Priority in the Queue Agreement holders are dispatched ahead of ad-hoc work, and where parts and schedule allow we reach a plant-down call the same business day. We do not promise hours we are not open.
  • Compliance Work on a Calendar Relief valve replacement intervals, pressure vessel inspections, detector calibration and ammonia charge records tracked against dates, rather than remembered when an auditor arrives.
  • Trended Data, Not Tick Boxes Running pressures, oil analysis, motor currents and vibration recorded visit to visit. The value of a maintenance programme is in the trend line, which is invisible on any single report.

Common Questions

Straight Answers

What does a service agreement typically include?

Agreements are built per site, but most include a fixed schedule of planned visits, condenser and evaporator cleaning, oil sampling and analysis, compressor running data and vibration checks, control and safety device testing, gas detector calibration, statutory items such as pressure relief valve replacement, and a written report after every visit. Many also include agreed labour rates for call-outs and an annual review of the plant against its energy performance.

How quickly can you respond to a breakdown?

We operate Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and we do not claim otherwise. Within those hours, plant-down calls from agreement holders are triaged ahead of routine work and we reach most of them the same business day. What actually shortens your downtime is preparation: knowing your plant, holding the right critical spares on your shelf, and having the failure history to diagnose quickly. We would rather earn that than advertise a response time we cannot staff.

Do you service older ammonia plant?

Yes, and it is a significant part of the work. Legacy ammonia systems are frequently in better fundamental condition than their paperwork suggests, because steel pipework and vessels in a dry system age slowly. The usual programme is to survey and re-document what is actually installed, bring the safety and compliance items current, replace the wear items and obsolete controls, then maintain it. That is normally a fraction of the cost of replacement.

How does an agreement actually save money?

Three mechanisms, all measurable at your site rather than quotable as a general figure. First, condition monitoring catches bearing wear, seal leakage and valve failures while they are still parts rather than compressor rebuilds. Second, a clean condenser and a correct charge lower head pressure, and compressor power tracks head pressure directly — usually the largest line. Third, work happens during planned shutdowns instead of in the middle of production. We will quantify the second one for your plant from its own running data.

Can we change the agreement later?

Yes. We review agreements annually, or sooner if your operation changes — added capacity, a new shift pattern, a seasonal swing that was not there before. Visit frequency, scope and coverage can all be adjusted. An agreement that no longer matches how the plant runs stops being maintenance and becomes a subscription.
